Dr Hume handed the Chair of the 7Springs Medical Practice to Dr Paul Layton, in 2022.ħSprings Building Services: Drs Trish Rathie, Paul Layton, Patricia Stuart, Steve Shorey, Sharon Matthews & Gus FischerħSprings Medical Practice : Drs Paul Layton, Steve Shorey, Patricia Stuart, Sharon Matthews & Trent Perring.ħSprings Health + Dental is a multi-disciplinary healthcare centre with extensive training facilities established in Toowoomba by three General Practices and Seven Springs Dental. Over the years his knowledge of our industry and his unwavering faith that General Practice will rise to the top of the medical field, underpinned the culture and the sense of family that 7Springs has and continues to foster in each of our employees, their families and our 7Springs Family.ĭr Hume retired from the Chair of the 7Springs Building Services Board in 2019 and Dr Trish Rathie was appointed the Chair. Hume steered our 7Springs Family through our growth our ups, downs and all the MBS changes. His infectious sense of humour, kind and gentle leadership paved our way through the most challenging of storms. He lead our teams through the design and construction of the 7Springs Health + Dental Health Precinct, the merge of our practices, the start-up and tenancy negotiations for the precinct and then through the Covid 19 crisis of 20.ĭr Hume’s leadership of the 7Springs Medical Practice through our first 8 ½ years was instrumental in 7Springs becoming a flagship of Education, Compassionate Care and General Practice in Toowoomba. The Boards of 7Springs Medical and 7Springs Building Services wish to take this opportunity to thank Lynn and the Rendle-Short family for sharing Dr Hume with us as our Chair, our mentor, our friend and an incredible GP.ĭr Hume Rendle-Short was appointed Chair of 7Springs Medical Practice and 7Springs Building Services in 2009. Dr Hume passed, with his loving wife Lynn by his side, on Monday 24th October 2022. It is with deep sadness the Boards of 7Springs Health + Dental announce the passing of Dr Hume Rendle-Short.
